Jamie M. Monroe, M.D.
Dr. Jamie Monroe is a board certified ophthalmologist with more than 20 years of experience. She performed a fellowship in cataract and glaucoma surgery at the University of Utah and has had positions at the University of Utah and Vanderbilt University training other eye surgeons. Dr. Monroe has received numerous awards, including The Laser Vision Gold Leading Refractive Surgeon Award in 2004. As Surgical Director at the Cataract & Lasik Center of Utah, Dr. Monroe performs more than 2000 eye surgeries annually.
Patricia A. Beaty, O.D.
Dr. Patricia Beaty has been Clinical Director of the Cataract & Lasik Center of Utah since 1994. She recently served as President of the Utah Optometric Association, serving as Executive Vice President, Treasurer, and Trustee in previous years. Dr. Beaty graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1992. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a visiting lecturer at Brigham Young University.
Bhupendra Patel, M.D.
Ophthalmic Plastic and Facial Cosmetic Surgery
Dr. Bhupendra Patel's expertise is in the management of disorders involving eyelids, periorbital tissues, lacrimal system and facial bones including fractures. He has designed and refined several instruments and surgical procedures including endoscopic brow lifts and endoscopic mid-face, lower face and neck lifts. His clinical research interests include thyroid disease, optic nerve disorders, orbital and eyelid tumors, blepharospasm, lacrimal surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Patel attended medical school in Liverpool and London, England, and is a Professor of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at the University of Utah School of Medicine.
