1) A fixed site (non-mobile) laser vision center which is temperature & humidity controlled for optimum results. This is particularly important for accurate wavefront-guided LASIK.

LASIK performed with the IntraLase Laser is called "IntraLASIK." The IntraLase flaps heal faster and are much less likely to displace or acquire wrinkles than microkeratome (blade)flaps. They are first made virtually, then in reality, making the procedure uniquely precise and safe with predictably better vision.  IntraLASIK is the essential first step in your procedure.

 3) An Orbscan II to measure the curvature of the inner and outer surface of the eye and the thickness of the entire cornea.These measurements are extremely important in accurately determining candidacy for LASIK.

4) A VISX WaveScan with Fourier Analysis to obtain a Wave-Print of your eye. This is the most precise evaluation of the entire visual system of your eye. Fourier Wavefront Analysis uses 100% of your wavefront data for your laser vision correction. 

5) A VISX Star S4 IR Excimer Laser to resculpt the surface of your cornea according to your prescription.  A VISX laser is used for the majority of laser vision procedures in the U.S. It has a 3D active eye tracker to keep your eye in proper alignment with the laser beam during the treatment. VISX has the only FDA approved Iris Registration. The eye rotates when a person lies down and Iris Registration aligns the wavefront data precisely with your laser vision treatment.  VISX Lasers also have Variable Spot Scanning which removes less tissue for a given prescription adding more safety to the procedure.
